Two Meter 4 MHz Wide 4 Pole Bandpass Filter (Model: DCI-146-4H)

The DCI-145-2H (144-146 MHz) filter is identical in design and appearance to the DCI-146-4H, but has a narrower bandwidth. This filter is for use in European-Asian ITU Regions 1 and 3. It is also for use in North America for weak signal, OSCAR, packet and EME communications. Type "N" connectors are optional, and cost an additional $10.

The design for this bandpass filter is four full quarter-wave linear resonators with aperture coupling. It comes with silver-TeflonŽ-gold "N" connectors. The filters are the same height and width as the VHF models but are slightly heavier and deeper. The DCI-435-10C is used in European-Asian ITU Regions 1 and 3, and is also used in North America for weak signal, packet and other specialized communications.

Our 6m bandpass filters are available in 4-, 6-, 8- or 10-pole models. This filter is custom-built and tuned to the center frequency you specify. Bandwidth will be 2 MHz. The filter is available in a stand-alone or rack-mountable design.

DCI has high-power, very low loss, low pass filters for 2 meters. Although the filters were designed for commercial use (with cut-offs of 160 MHz), they are very useful to amateurs as they will reduce your second harmonic by about 30 dB, and third and higher-order harmonics by over 50 dB. The filters go a long way towards reducing interference to 440 and 1296 from 2 meter transmitters in VHF/UHF multi-multi contest stations. DCI low pass filters are constructed with seven elements, with coaxial inductors and TeflonŽ capacitors. The filters go between the linear and the antenna and reduce the broadband noise and harmonics generated in the linear. The estimated power handling capability is 2 KW and the passband loss is about 0.1 dB.

The filters go a long way towards reducing transmitter interference to 1296 MHz and above, and will also protect a 440 MHz receiver from higher frequency transmitters.

The filters go between the linear and the antenna and reduce the broadband noise and harmonics generated in the linear. The estimated power handling capability is 2 KW and the passband loss is about 0.1 dB.

DCI makes ATV filters which are 6 MHz wide to accommodate a standard fast scan TV signal. They are specified by the VCF (video carrier frequency) and the passband extends 1.25 MHz down from the VCF and 4.75 MHz up from the VCF if using upper sideband (USB). Note that USB is the default and filters will be tuned for USB if no sideband is specified. ATV filters are available in 8-pole and 10-pole models.

An ATV filter can be used to reduce interference on receive and to remove the lower sideband and create a VSB signal from a DSB signal. Both the 8-pole and 10-pole give enough attenuation of the lower sideband in the transmitted signal.

When ordering, please specify: cf = center frequency, bw = bandwidth, x = (S)tand-alone or (R)ack-mountable design, y = connector type: connector type (N, SO239, BNC, etc). Ex: DCI-483-6-10-R-N

Bandwidth is tuned 1 dB down from center unless otherwise specified.
